Solarmeter protective case

I recently acquired a Solarmeter, but I was not impressed by the flimsy leather case that came with it. The case offered little to no protection to the sensor in case of a drop. To address this issue, I designed a custom case that requires 8 small magnets to be tapped into the design's holes. A tiny amount of superglue is applied to each magnet to prevent them from falling out during use. It is essential to ensure that the magnets are installed correctly. A screenshot of an eBay listing has been included to demonstrate the correct size of magnet needed for this project. The custom case features a 0.5mm clearance around the Solarmeter, preventing it from rattling inside. A cutout surrounds the sensor to prevent contact with the interior of the case. The button is also shielded and cannot be pressed while in the case. It took approximately 8 hours to print the case, and 1.5 hours to print the lid. Both components were printed with their open ends facing upwards, eliminating the need for support structures.
