A groundbreaking device utilizes two bottles and the sun to extract clean water from contaminated water through evaporation. The threads conform to the ISBT standard PCO 1881, a widely recognized benchmark used by prominent brands like Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, and Fanta. Referencing an image will provide clarity on what this standard looks like if you're unsure. To operate the device effectively, position the dirty water bottle at the bottom and ensure the tube extends upwards into the empty bottle. This setup theoretically enables evaporated water from the bottom to pass through the tube as vapor, condense against the top bottle, and collect by the lid. I must admit that the concept behind this idea is solid, but its efficiency depends largely on one's geographical location. In hotter climates, this device could be a valuable resource. However, I reside in the UK, where the results may not be as impressive. The inspiration for this project originated from a "How-to" video seen on Facebook, which can be found at https://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-Solar-Water-Filter/. Please note that this is essentially a science experiment and using it to drink dirty water comes with inherent risks.
