Now, at 47 years old (feeling as spry as an 11-year-old), I finally have the time and resources to turn this vision into reality. Here's how. This simple innovation was designed by myself to transform discarded two-liter bottles into solar-powered water purifiers. All it takes is cutting the bottle in half, inserting a three-dimensional printed ring-like object, and leaving it in the sun for the day. Come nightfall, you'll find clean drinking water collected at the device's base. The key to this invention's effectiveness lies in a straightforward yet overlooked fact: if we give someone from an impoverished background a helpful gift, they typically sell it to purchase food rather than use it as intended. Thus, it stands to reason that what people need most is something considered trash by others – something with no market value that they can't resist keeping and using for its purpose, in this case, water purification. This innovation is being made available to the world; anyone interested in elevating this concept is encouraged to do so.
