Solar USB Power Supply

Inspired by Enif's solar panel, I tested this one to 2.34 amps at 5 volts before the voltage began to drop under full sun with no clouds. You will have to download Enif's two other solar panel holders because this is a remix and only included the modified XT60 connector solar panel holder, along with the electronics box. The other two panels were not changed, so I didn't want to reupload them here. It's basically the same as Enif's project, although the guts are located in the box. The idea behind this design is that you can make the wires for the panels long so you won't have to expose your expensive electronics or yourself to unpleasant weather. I had the idea for the changes to the design while working at the top station of a ski lift that lacked 120v AC power, and I wanted to charge my phone, radio, etc. This works very well for off-grid shacks where you can put the panels on the roof and run the power cables through a window.
