Solar Telemetry D1 Mini

Solar controllers with Wifi cost hundreds of dollars. Wouldn't it be cool to have a 10 USD device that can be added to ANY solar controller to get full Wifi Telemetry ? Here are some really cool features of this design: 1.) It works with all Solar PWM controllers - even with cheap positive ground systems 2.) It measures bi-directional which allows me to see the load but also the effective charge 3.) The D1 Mini in this schematic can be hot-swapped without disruption load or charge 4.) Out of the box the INA219 measures up to 26V and 3.2A but it can be easily modified with an external shunt resistor to support pretty much every load that you want to measure. No problem to do 10 KW or more :-) I might post the source code as well and include a link - here is how it works: The D1 mini sends a comma separated string via TCP port to a linux box. The linux box runs a python program that is slicing and dicing the data. In my case I'm using Nagios for monitoring / dashboards. Telemetry: - Status (Charging / Discharging) - Battery Capacity in % - Current mA - Voltage V - Power W
