Easily turn anything into a solar light with the Solar Swiss Army Light. Using the guts of a dollar store solar path light, add a solar charger "backpack" for custom path lighting or print out a flashlight attachment and make an easy fun project for kids to enjoy. Check out the EasilyBuild profile page for more attachments to explore. Important: Choose the correct solar panel shape - most solar lights are rectangular, but some square ones exist too. Tools Required: * Soldering iron * Heat gun * Hot glue * Small screwdriver Instructions: 1. Remove all screws from the $1 solar light - save them for later use. 2. Cut wires leading to the solar panel as close to it as possible. 3. Use a heat gun to heat the back of the solar panel, then gently pry it off. 4. Once removed, heat and remove hot glue residue from the area. 5. Strip wires leading to the solar panel and thread them through two holes on the solar charging backpack. 6. Solder the solar panel to the wires - positive and negative are indicated by a + or - mark on the back of the panel. 7. Apply a small bead of hot glue to the center of the solar charger inset. 8. Insert the solar panel into the glue, making sure it is secure. 9. Insert battery terminals into side slots with wires facing down. 10. Use the smallest screw to attach the led circuit to the flashlight attachment. 11. Insert the battery and make sure it is secure in place. 12. Finally, screw the flashlight attachment to the solar backpack. Done!
