Solar Steam Module
thingiverse
This is a work in progress, with the ultimate goal of creating designs that can be used as patterns for #Lost_PLA_Casting aluminum parts or as a guide for CNC machining to support polished sheet metal reflectors bent into elliptical troughs. A small diameter copper tube will run along the focal line, where water pumped in one end should experience a significant temperature rise at the other end. Enough units connected in series are expected to generate steam that can power an engine to pump the water and produce excess energy to charge batteries. The bracket assemblies can be easily bolted to a fence, allowing for flexibility in setup. As the design evolves, pivot dimensions will change, as will some contours, but they're already close to optimal. The team is eagerly waiting for an end to isolation so they can set up a foundry and collaborate on cooperative casting projects. Stay tuned for further developments and updates on this exciting project.
