This design creates a ring for holding samples in light soaking tests with solar simulators. Print the component, attach samples using binder clips, and secure them with chemistry clamps as shown in the photo. This part is part of the Open-source optics project, which aims to dramatically lower scientific optical hardware costs by the Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group.
