Solar Refinery v1.0 (13 x 13 pieces per quadrant): ====================================== Project contains 169 pieces of mirror reflectors to be placed in a 13x13 grid to focus light on a target 24 inches above the origin. Each piece is marked with a number on where to place it in a 13 x 13 grid. For example, if it is marked (3,4), then place it in the square at x = 3, and y = 4. Each piece comes with a square base, meant to be glued to any flat rigid body of your choice. I got the round mirrors ( 1" by 1") in bulk on amazon. if you want to fill all the quadrants, then you'll need 4 x (13 x 13) = 676 mirrors. Estimated solar radiation collected at sea level for this device is somewhere around 400 watts. Here is an example of a partially built collector. https://youtu.be/U7AlxZG8CGc I did not generate these by hand. I actually implemented a program to generate the stl files using geometry of parallel light sources. Download the .blend file for the complete set.
