This is a specialized solar radiation shield designed specifically to protect sensor network nodes, essentially mirroring the design of a Gill shield. The stackup incorporates 8-32 threaded rod, while the base fits snugly over an optional 3/4" PVC pipe for either wiring or mounting purposes. One of the central plates features a mounting tab on its inner surface, providing a secure location for hardware attachment. Additionally, there is an optional inner shield that offers enhanced protection against weather and insects but significantly limits airflow.
