Solar Powered Valentine
myminifactory
Solar powered valentine for my lovely wife is now a reality. Check out the prototype video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMVpbErYY2E. The STL file, Heart.stl, features a unique 'You!' heart half as opposed to a 'Lora' heart half design. Using components from an animated solar powered devil purchased at a local dollar store for just $1, 8 strong neodymium magnets, and a specialized sewing needle, this Valentine will spin continuously under adequate light. Designed with Sketchup 8's free version, it was printed on a Makerbot Replicator 2 using Makerware 2.3.3.42 "Standard" settings in PLA.
