The Solar Panel Tilt Stand can be used with any small solar panels (19 cm x 10.5 cm / 7.5 in x 4 in ) to learn how a variety of factors like the direction and angle of a solar panel, angle of the sun, cloud cover, and shadows can impact the amount of electricity generated by a solar panel. I designed the panels for KEEP - Wisconsin's K-12 Energy Education Program- to be used in their Solar Tilt Kit. KEEP has google lessons that educators can use with the stands. One lesson is designed for elementary students and the other is designed for secondary students. The lessons are FREE for all educators to use and can be accessed at: https://www.uwsp.edu/wcee/wcee/kits/solar-tilt-kit/solar-energy-education/KEEP also has a Solar Tilt Kit that Wisconsin educators can check out (FREE of charge) to use in their classrooms. If you would like to check out the kit or learn more about it so you can create your own, visit https://www.uwsp.edu/wcee/wcee/kits/solar-tilt-kit/ . Kit 2 is the one that includes these solar tilt stands. Many images on the website are from Kit 1 which includes stands I designed for use with solar panels that were donated to KEEP by the WI Department of Transportation and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.Additional Notes:-KEEP has adds velcro to the stand and solar panels to keep the panels in place.-KEEP puts poster putty inside the legs where the mount attaches to help hold the stands together when students move them from location to location. The putty also helps keep the panels at the desired angle during experimentation.-KEEP printed and laminated protractors that they adhere to one leg of each stand with velcro to help students know the exact angle the stand is positioned at. -KEEP uses KidWind 2V Panels with alligator clips. Each stand can accommodate two of these panels. https://www.vernier.com/product/kidwind-2v-400ma-solar-panel/
