How much energy you can earn from a solar panel depends on just how intense the sunlight shines on its surface every hour of every day. That's why you want to position your panel directly towards the sun, aiming for an accurate orientation that will easily double your daily energy harvest. However, finding a spot where the panel faces the sun isn't always easy, and sooner or later you'll have to move it because the sun has shifted its position. The video I've included shows off the adjustable stand I use, plus a visual representation of how sunlight hits my solar panels throughout the day in different seasons - spring, summer, autumn, and winter. I use a solar panel to charge my USB power bank during the day, and then I plug in my phone or tablet from the power bank at night. One full charge for my phone or a 50% charge for my tablet is all it takes to get me through another day.
