Solar Panel Mount
thingiverse
This solar panel mount is specifically designed for use with the 6V 330ma solar panels available from Switchdoc.com. It can accommodate up to three panels at a time. The design process was handled using FreeCad, and we are grateful for their contribution to this project. The mount is intended to be attached to a weather-resistant enclosure. To secure the panels in place, 8-32 X 2 inch screws will be employed. Please note that these screws fit snugly into the mounting holes; therefore, it's recommended to use a screwdriver to coax them into position. When installing the screws, make sure they are inserted with their heads facing upwards towards the top of the mount. This orientation allows for easy attachment of the tilt braces at the bottom of the mount. Two sets of tilt braces are included in this design. One set is designed to prop up the panel at approximately a 45-degree angle. However, considering the possibility of wind lifting the panel from underneath, an additional set has been created that incorporates devices to secure the tilt braces to the enclosure itself.
