Solar Module Panel Support for Flat Roofs (Garage etc.), adjustable
thingiverse
Hallo, I wanted to build a cheap support for my solar panels on my garage. I wanted a height adjustable support. I found these stands: https://www.ebay.de/itm/183377354092 for about 2.40€/piece. I used this hinge to start with: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2187167 Designed with TinkerCAD: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/7cQ8zLMtHeE-solar-halter/edit?sharecode=w-0OORB_IG9WMdbiHz46m1knVvy1IiAYFyrW9xi-nrw The height is enough to achieve about 15° with 1m modules and designed with a hinge to connect it to my panels. I am not sure yet, if it can cope with the temperature level in summer. As a pecaution, I recommend PETG. We will see. Update: PETG has shown to be hard to print. Due to stringing it is hard to get the hinge moving. I now designed a version with larger clearances, untested. Let me know if this is better. Because the support as holes at the bottom, it would be possible to fix it to something. (roof/concrete tiles)
