Solar Light Wall Mount
thingiverse
I stumbled upon these solar garden lights at my local Dollar General store, https://www.dollargeneral.com/open-trails-solar-light-stake-1-ct.html. I didn't really need one, but for a dollar it was a fun impulse buy. I purchased one and designed a wall mount specifically for the top piece. This could be used above a sign to illuminate it at night or as "post lights" on a fence or deck railing, providing adjustable illumination. To assemble these solar garden lights, you'll need an 8-32 x 3/4" machine screw and matching nut, while mounting to the wall requires any reasonable sized sheet metal or even deck screw. I edited my post on May 13th, 2019: I added a file for a dual mount that will hold two lights side by side. To use it, simply print this mount and two of the light rings. I bought some more of these solar garden lights to experiment with, desoldering the white LED and replacing it with colored LEDs for an extra touch of fun. The possibilities for inexpensive DIY projects are endless.
