Solar light holder

Solar light holder

Here's my design for a holder to mount solar lights on your fence. A neighbor approached me about creating some, but we couldn't find any he liked, so I decided to make one myself. If you have any ideas for improving the design, I'm open to suggestions. The holder is designed to be mounted securely to the fence using 8 gauge wood screws. The hole in the center is 1 inch or 25.4 mm in diameter, making it easy to insert the screw. I printed my prototype in ABS plastic and haven't had any issues yet. It's withstood the summer weather without a problem (July through September). However, I did notice that a tree branch damaged some of them at the end of September. To prevent this from happening again, I added extra material to the outer shells, making the rear flat piece nearly solid for added strength.
