Solar Light 4x6 Post Adapter

Solar Light 4x6 Post Adapter

This is an adapter to fit a Hampton Bay solar post-cap light onto a 4x6 post. The lights typically come with adapters designed specifically for 4x4 and 6x6 posts, but I don't have standard-sized posts in my collection. Instructions The adapter was engineered as three distinct parts, allowing it to be printed without support material. These parts are the base, an insert, and a series of tabs. To begin printing, attach the tab part to the printer's middle cut-out area, placing the base underneath with its flat side down. Once all three components have been printed, you'll need to assemble them in sequence. Assemble the tabs first by inserting them into the insert, then position the insert within the base. Be prepared for potential complications: the tab may require sanding down at its top ridge in order to securely fasten it inside the insert. Once complete, place the tabs inside the light assembly at its bottom, ensuring that they lock securely by twisting them counterclockwise. If you experience issues pushing the tabs past their initial alignment with the post's inner walls, some form of adhesive can be used to hold them firmly in position.
