Solar-LED-3D-Printed Butterfly Safety Vest
thingiverse
Have you ever yearned for a reliable light source during power outages? Or have you ever wished for an extra layer of safety while cycling or walking on streets at night? Recognizing the significance of safety, especially in low-light conditions, our team developed the world's first solar-power-LED integrated 3D-printed safety vest. This groundbreaking design consists of: 5 printed pieces connected via a 'zip-like puzzle' system and hooks. 1 foldable solar array, 1 rechargeable battery, and 1 LED in the central piece. Top and bottom wings featuring 2 LED light tubes. Each component fits within a compact size of 190 mm x 185 mm x 139 mm, making it suitable for most Makerbot Replicator 5th Gen printers and other similar models. The current chest/bust size (front to back) is limited to 14 cm, but the printed pieces can be scaled to fit your individual needs. The rechargeable battery can be charged during daylight hours, taking approximately 1.5 hours to fully charge at noon. This automatic lighting and charging system serves as a safety warning, providing essential visibility for outdoor activities like cycling, jogging, or as a portable light source. So... simply print it at home and enjoy the freedom of walking and shining with confidence!
