Solar Garden Light Spike
thingiverse
One of my Solar garden lights spikes snapped off when I accidentally brushed it with the lawn mower. The stainless steel tube that came with it was 24mm in diameter inside, so I designed this replacement myself. It works great and should last just as long as the original :o) provided I don't bump into it again. I highly recommend printing these spikes with ABS plastic, because PLA might have trouble handling really hot temperatures in certain countries. The last picture shows one spike that had been sitting in my front yard for about 2 weeks during a heatwave, meaning temperatures reached 86 degrees F and above. You can see what happens when it's exposed to prolonged heat, which is why I recommend ABS. Of course, if you live in the UK or similar climates, it's probably not going to be an issue.
