# Solar Finder # A safe and compact way to point your solar scope at the sun. Some assembly required. ## Assembly ## 1. Cut a round piece of regular paper (or similar material) 1. You can draw crosshairs on it to make aiming easier. 1. Glue it to the open end of the finder. *see pictures ## How to Use ## Point the pinhole forward. The sun shines through the pinhole and projects a bright spot on the paper. Center the spot, and you should be aligned with the sun. ## Notes ## ### First iteration ### - This finder is very compact. Depending on your scope, the scope might shadow the finder, or limit its useful FOV. - The pinhole is very small. A slightly larger hole might make the spot brighter and easier to spot. ### Do not look directly at the sun without an approved solar filter ###
