Solar Finder
thingiverse
Here is the original text rewritten: This is a custom-designed finder for optimal viewing of the sun through a telescope equipped with a precision solar filter. I created this adapter to prepare for the upcoming solar eclipse in August. Simply print two reticles and attach them securely to the ends of a 3/4" schedule 40 PVC tube using superglue. The resulting sleeve will increase the diameter of the PVC to perfectly match the 21mm finder scope found on my Meade ETX telescope. To align the finder, simply sight a target through the scope and adjust the tube until it's properly aligned. Then, when viewing the sun, carefully adjust the scope so that the shadows from both reticles are precisely aligned.
