Solar Filter Mount for 12-inch Dobsonian Telescope (Apertura Brand)

In preparation for the total solar eclipse that swept across the US in 2017, I acquired a sheet of 12"x12" solar filter film specifically designed for my 12" Apertura Dobsonian telescope. Initially, I secured it in place with blue painters tape, acknowledging the less-than-professional installation. Since then, I've had access to a 3D printer and decided to create a custom mount for the filter to make installation and removal significantly easier. To facilitate this project, I've included the original Fusion 360 file, which can be modified to suit different telescope sizes or brands. To complete the assembly, you'll need several additional components: Solar filter film is the primary requirement, and I purchased this exact product two years ago: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DS7SSEW/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Additional hardware includes #10-24x1/2in Bolts and Nuts (4 of each), which provide a secure fastening system. A Window Screen Retainer Spline (.120"/3mm diameter) is also necessary, as it fits snugly into the small channel on the top side of the bottom piece. This spline gives you a grip for holding onto the filter during installation and removal. A picture taken with my phone showcases the sun, albeit not particularly interesting due to a lack of sunspots that day. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
