This ring assembly is designed to sandwich a piece of Solar Film between the two pieces, which you can then mount to the dust cover of the Apertura AD-12 telescope's OEM dust cap. This is an exact fit, which works perfectly for my Apertura AD-12. First, print these two pieces. Second, custom cut your solar film into a disc shape that fits snugly inside the solar filter cap ring (With the silvery-side facing sunward). Third, snap the mounting ring down onto the cap ring, sandwhiching the film between the two pieces. Fourth, remove the 6cm cap from the Apertura AD-12 dust cover, and replace with this piece. Fifth, Enjoy looking for Sunspots! *** I cannot overstate the need for safety when performing Solar observations!*** PLEASE make sure you use a solar film suitable for Visual astronomy. PLEASE make sure this dustcap fits perfectly, and cannot come loose during observation. Feel free to adjust the print size up or down as you need. Have fun, and enjoy!
