The future of energy production is fusion, but fusion remains years away from being proven to work effectively. Until then, we must rely on other means to achieve independence from fossil fuels. One way is to harness the power of solar energy, but conventional large-scale solar plants are dull and uninspiring. A more appealing solution is to deploy "solar trees" like the one I designed. Using these trees offers multiple benefits that make them a better option for both ecology and climate. For instance, the spacing between panels allows light and rain to reach underneath the installation, enabling plants to thrive there. Additionally, because the trunk is crafted from local wood, it serves as a carbon sink, reducing CO2 levels in the air. At the end of its life cycle, components can be easily separated into raw parts and recycled. This tree has been designed for use both in nature and urban areas. The lowest solar cells are positioned at a height of 3 meters, allowing cars, cyclists, and pedestrians to pass underneath it. It is also tall enough to permit bushes and plants to grow underneath its canopy. The 3D model comes with the foundation included, and it has been designed for realistic construction in the real world. The hexagonal solar cells would require custom manufacturing or substitution with regular cells. This model is made entirely out of quads and features a low-poly design. Thanks to its high-quality textures, this model is suitable for scenes that demand details as well as those where low poly is necessary. The model is ready for rendering, prepared for subdivision, and PBR compliant.
