This smartphone filter lets you capture stunning pictures of the sun. If you've misplaced solar glasses, simply print this DIY project to safely observe the eclipse. **Required Parts:** 1. Filter body (the 3D printed component) 2. Three small rubber bands * http://amzn.to/2vR2sOW 3. Two 2-inch square pieces of mylar * http://amzn.to/2vLA16x **Watch My Video Tutorial:** https://youtu.be/5Bvtpxah8sA **Assembly Instructions:** 1. Cut the mylar into small circles, slightly larger than the filter. 2. Stretch both layers of mylar tightly over the filter and secure with one rubber band. You may need to double the rubber band for a snug fit. Avoid wrinkles, as they can compromise photo quality. 3. Tie the remaining two rubber bands onto two slots on the filter, then tie them together. **Using Your Filter:** Loop the rubber bands around your phone and position the filter directly over the lens. Use a camera app that allows manual control over settings. Zoom in using optical zoom, set focus to infinity, minimize ISO, and adjust shutter speed until you can clearly see the sun.
