Solar Eclipse Canon 18-55 DSLR lens filter holder

Here's a hood for your Canon 16-55mm DSLR zoom lens, with a diameter of 58mm for observing solar eclipses. Applying AstroSolar film to this setup is relatively straightforward. Instructions: Use double-sided sticky tape on the square top of the "solar-lenscap-bottom.stl" attachment. Attach the BAADER AstroSolar Safety film directly on top of this tape and then snap on the "solar-lenscap-top". Then, secure it inside your lens's ring, ensuring a snug fit so that it won't fall out right away. If there are any issues with its retention in place, consider adding double-sided sticky tape to the edges of the ring for additional stability. I'm excited to share this as next week is going to be a major solar eclipse event. Additionally, I'm also currently working on designing an iPhone 6 holder for similar use with AstroSolar film.
