This is a case for an innovative solar battery charger that can charge from USB or the Sun, delivering reliable USB power when switched on. It's based on a cutting-edge set of parts from Adafruit: * A versatile USB / DC / Solar Lithium Ion/Polymer charger - v2 * A high-performance Medium 6V 2W Solar panel - 2.0 Watt * A robust Lithium Ion Battery Pack - 3.7V 6600mAh * A powerful PowerBoost 500 Basic - 5V USB Boost @ 500mA from 1.8V+ * A convenient Breadboard-friendly SPDT Slide Switch It's held together with secure M3 nuts and bolts, requiring a bit of soldering to connect the solar panel (not to mention assemble the internal components). I typically store the charger in a pocket and pin the solar panel to the outside of my bag, allowing it to accumulate charge while I'm out in the Sun. The button is meant to be sewn onto the bag so that the panel can be looped over it, but for now I'm using safety pins. The battery is slightly too big for the device, so I print it in PETG and then the springiness of the plastic keeps the battery from moving around. Other internal components are secured by pegs.
