The 3D-printed ThinkPad T470s replacement has a rubber material, and I find it quite satisfactory. As of 9th August 2019, version 8B features a deep concave and high rim, while version 15 offers an even thicker rim. The bottom hole is a 2.3mm square, fitting snugly with rubber material; version 15C has a 2.5mm square hole for better hard material compatibility.
