Softener bypass clip / circlip

Softener bypass clip / circlip

I'm installing a replacement clip for my AEG water softener bypass. Removing the original clips is a challenge, often resulting in damage to them. I tried printing a replacement in PLA plastic but it was too stiff and I ended up breaking one before successfully assembling the second one. For my next attempt, I'll use PETG material, which is supposed to be more flexible. If you only have PLA available, I recommend bending it several times to generate some heat and soften it slightly before installation.
