soft muscle printer
grabcad
The silicone muscle printer project's CAD model is available at CreativeMachinesLab, with folders containing Autodesk Inventor (2018) files for mixing and printing modules. The exported ".obj" files of the printing module are also provided. The z plate assembly is 3D printed using a Stratasys J750 printer in Creative Machines Lab, while tubing is printed with "FLX9795-dm; Shore-A:95", and other parts with "VeroPureWht." For the electronics side mounting box model, two-dimensional drawing files of CAD are laser cut from 1/8 in thick acrylic sheets. Two feet long by three feet wide sheets suffice for the entire assembly, requiring 6-32 thread, ½ in long screws and 6-32 thread square nuts to assemble the housing. Around 50 screws and nuts are needed. The cooling control boards use fans with two square cutouts for installation @boxiXia and @jacobjoseph.
