Human: Pulley block designed for use with 5mm outhaul line on windsurfing booms. As simple as possible, that's the goal. I built this pulley using an 8mm diameter brass pipe with 0.5mm wall thickness as a hollow pin. A thicker 8mm OD pipe will also work if you round the inside edge to a smooth radius. The pipe must be cut to precisely 10.2mm long. The pulley case is held closed by stitching, and I used proper waxed sail maker wire to firmly secure it in place. This made a big difference in keeping everything tight. Reliability testing continues, but so far the results are promising. As of my last update, the pulley still spins freely with no signs of wear. Edit 15/04/19: After some use, this pulley block is working well and showing no signs of weakness. I'm impressed by its performance. Edit (final): 6/09/19: This pulley has been put through many hours of use, maybe as many as 15 sessions, and it's still going strong. The stitching may not be perfect, but it got the job done without too much hassle.
