Sofle Choc Thin Low Profile Case
prusaprinters
Flip to get the left-side version. This is a low profile case for the Sofle Choc. It keeps the components and solder joints under the board from getting snagged on anything, while adding minimal bulk to the board. It’s great for using the board on a desk pad or if you put it in a bag.The ultra-thin version of the case has recesses that fit the sockets, diodes and solder joints, allowing the Sofle to sit even lower. The difference is about 1.8mm in theory, but maybe less in practice. The case fits snugly on my board without screws, but your results may vary. If you want to attach your board with screws, you need heat-set inserts and 6mm M2 screws for the ultra-thin version, or 8mm for the regular one. You may also want to print some spacers to go between the switch plate and the PCB. You can insert them without removing the top plate entirely. Just take out the switches near the screw holes and slide them in with a thin tool.
