Sofia" locomotive controlled by Infrared, with Ultrasound speed control and Arduino multipurpose superior engine (Lego Duplo)
cults3d
Locomotive "Sofia" is fully compatible with Lego Duplo train tracks and can be controlled using infrared technology. This locomotive features a speed control system powered by an Ultrasound Sensor, allowing it to automatically reduce speed or brake before colliding with any obstacles in its path. The Sofia Locomotive can also be manually accelerated to maximum speed by pressing the forward or reverse button on the infrared remote multiple times. Additionally, a second motor located at the top of the locomotive is equipped with a wheel featuring neodymium magnets for future magnetic games and interactive play. One notable feature of this locomotive is its ability to turn headlights on and off, providing better visibility during nighttime operations. This is made possible by a small active speaker that can emit beeps to signal various functions, which can be turned on or off according to user preference. Powering the Sofia Locomotive are two rechargeable 18650 batteries housed in a battery box inside the locomotive. This locomotive also features an infrared control system using the VS1838 model, allowing users to control up to two locomotives simultaneously by loading different programs onto each device. To make this project more accessible and user-friendly, a comprehensive manual is provided in PDF format, along with an assembly diagram and detailed information on the functions currently programmed into the remote control.
