I've meticulously measured and modeled the bottle interface used on regular plastic bottles supplied under the SodaStream brand of home carbonators. I've included a faithful recreation of the head of the SodaStream brand bottles in the file "SodaStream Plastic Bottle Interface (Universal)", with a subtle modification that adds a gentle curve to the base. If you print it facing down, you can print without supports without encountering any challenging overhangs! I've also included a version called "Grabber Mount". This design is particularly useful with the more modern type of SodaStream where you push the bottle in and then tilt it back to lock it into place. If you don't normally screw your bottles into your machine, this "grabber mount" recreates the profile of the little arms that reach around the rim of the bottle head and creates an extremely strong and firm mount, which holds any object very precisely and firmly in place with excellent alignment. The "Universal" screw type bottle interface is a bit looser when inserted into one of these machines. If you want really precise alignment at the cost of compatibility, use this one! You can utilize these designs to connect just about anything to the output interface of a SodaStream machine. You could create a very good PET bottle adapter for example, simply carve out the inside with whatever shape you need.
