SodaStream Bird Feeder with Roof

The bird feeder's design draws inspiration from Gavin Kennedy's original concept. A repurposed SodaStream PET bottle replaces the traditional soda bottle, offering a unique twist to the classic design. To achieve this distinctive look, I designed a roof that fits snugly around the outer diameter of the bottle. The roof's segments are securely attached to a support ring using glue, while the ring is clamped firmly onto the bottle with robust wood screws (3/8 x 16). For added stability, each roof segment requires additional support to prevent sagging. To ensure effortless hanging, I simply screwed an eye bolt into the bottom of the bottle. Convenience was also a top priority during design. A specially created screw-on funnel for the SodaStream bottle makes filling the feeder a breeze.
