Soda Stream Pentacap

I love my SodaStream but always wished that the bottle caps weren't so slippery. Especially when they get a little condensation on them, it can be pretty difficult to get them off. This cap has a knurled pentagon shape that is much easier for me to grip. When I print these on my Ender 3 at .16 layer height and 60% infill (about 4 hours), I get good, strong, usable results. Both the cap and the gasket mold should be flipped 180° before slicing. Get some food-safe silicone caulk and fill the gasket mold. I use coconut oil as a release agent and it works pretty well. Let the silicone cure completely (at least 24 hours), remove the gasket from the mold, and jam it into the cap so that it is held in by the lip of the center ring. So far I've been using some GE clear 100% silicone that I got at Lowe's. It's okay, but I'd like something that cured a little harder. Any ideas? - That don't require a vacuum chamber? The last two pics above show the helix parameters and negative cross-section for the threads. You need two of these threads starting 180 degrees apart. This posting is an attempt to fill a void left by the original manufacturer of the SodaStream system. I do not claim any connection with the SodaStream company. It is specifically not my intention to compete with SodaStream in any way. Enjoy this cap, and please let me know if you have ideas for improvements.
