Soda can parts tray
thingiverse
This ingenious device transforms a discarded soda can into a practical tray for storing small parts. Simply cut off the bottom of a can and slide it into the designated slot, allowing the curved shape to serve as a compact storage container or holder. A thoughtful recess in the design enables you to insert a 10mm x 3mm magnet, which securely fastens magnetic components within the tray. This optional feature adds an extra layer of functionality to this clever device. To enhance the tray's usability, I applied adhesive felt material to its base, providing a secure grip for items and preventing them from sliding around. The can's rounded shape not only holds contents in place but also facilitates easy retrieval, a significant advantage over traditional square-edged containers.
