I wanted to create support for my spool and replicate the one Steve Carmichael made at the start of the video, his spool support really caught my eye, so did his entire project. I don't have the dexterity of his fairy woodworking fingers but I decided to give it a try! I used some 40mm plastic pipes that I had lying around in the shed and needed a way to attach the whole assembly on top of my enclosure. I designed it using ProgeCAD, which allowed me to export directly into a STL file. It is a straightforward socket to fit inside a 40mm waste water pipe.
