Socket Hand Crank (For router lift, or anything else)

Socket Hand Crank (For router lift, or anything else)

thingiverse

My Router Lift demands a 5/8-inch nut to elevate and lower the router bit. Utilizing a ratchet, the ratchet handle would strike the bit as it ascended. Therefore, I chose to create a crank that's short enough not to hit most bits, and raise and lower faster than with the ratchet. This design is crafted to fit any 3/8-inch sockets. The fit is snug, so you might want to file it down slightly if frequent bit changes are required (Mine doesn't). The knob was inspired by JayMake's VW Window Crank Handle, though I had to rebuild it entirely for my purposes. To attach the knob to the crank, you will need an M5x20 bolt and an M5 nut.
