My 3D printer is controlled via Octoprint, the printer and the rapsberry have separate PSUs. So I wanted to keep the raspberry pi online 24/7, but swich on the printer once I needed it.
One option is to use wifi power sockets, but this is only possible when you have reliable wifi connection where your printer is located. Additionally I wanted to keep my network clean and only have one online device for my printer.
This socket is designed for the use with octoprint, octodash and PSU control plugin.
You can power your printer from the octoprint web interface or just by tapping the touch screeen of your octodash.
You can find my plugin settings in the images section.

Parts list:
1x relay
1x top power socket
1x front power socket
1x fuse for front power socket
4x M3x20 4xM3 hex nuts for the upper socket
2x nylock nuts and M3 countersunk screws for the front socket
1x JST 2.0 PH3 socket (optional, you can also route wires through the hole)

Wiring:
Connect the relay supply to 3.3V GND to GND and the signal pin to any free GPIO.
I used pins 17 (3.3V), 18 (GPIO 24) and 20 (GND).
The relay is just hot glued to the bottom of the case.

Print settings:
Place filament change or print pause in the upper layers to insert nuts for screwing down the power socket.
Printed without supports
layer height 0.3mm
Prusament PETG
15% infill

Disclaimer: You are responsiblie for wiring this up correctly.
