Socket for repurposing vintage cell phone batteries in maker projects. The dimensions of various battery types and sizes can be modified by adjusting corresponding parameters within the SCAD file. To create a custom socket: Use a precision caliper to accurately measure your battery's length, width, and height, including the distance between the "+" and "-" connectors on the left side. Modify the SCAD file accordingly using OpenSCAD or another CAD software to generate a suitable socket design for your specific battery unit. Insert generic Dupont male connectors into each pin hole and secure them in place with hot glue. The source code enables the addition of support headers for accommodating an elastic band, ensuring a more stable fit and secure hold of the battery within the socket.
