Have you ever lost a sock when you washed it?
Do you have too many unpaired socks?
Do you spend too much time pairing socks when you do the laundry?

If you answered yes to any question you have come to the right place.

Print some clips to your socks today!

“When you undress, just put a clip on the used socks and throw them in the laundry basket. After washing, you can easily hang them up on the washing line until they are dry.”

Printing

I recommend printing the clip in PETG or other filaments with high heat deflection temperatures. (basically, something other than PLA).

PLA has a heat deflection temperature of around 50 ºC (122 ºF), and some washing machine cycles go to 60 ºC (140 ºF), melting the piece in the process.

PETG heat deflection temperature is around 80ºC so it's a better option for this use.

If you only use cold washing/up to 30 ºC, PLA should work as well.

Layer height can be set at 0.3mm and the infill to 100% (between the top and bottom layers, only a couple of infill layers remain, so setting the infill to 100% helps with the piece resistance).

Credits

I enjoyed MAXimator's design but wanted to try a tighter version for smaller socks.

Sock Clip for washing & drying by MAXimator

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2199791
