Soccer Ball Reflex Bag

Soccer Ball Reflex Bag

I was on a mission to create a contained space in my basement without having to drill holes into the concrete for a double-ended bag. I stumbled upon a YouTube video by Reedy Kewlus, who had posted an excellent tutorial on how to build a floor-mounted bag using PVC pipe and a volleyball. I loved the idea and decided to design and 3D print specific connectors instead of using miscellaneous materials like he did. My printer is currently out of commission due to a hot end failure and won't be operational until new parts arrive. All the files you'll find here are for the ball-end of the reflex bag. Once my printer is up and running again, I'll print the parts to confirm they're functional and post them here as well. I originally planned for the design to incorporate diamond plate interlocking mats found in most weight rooms and still plan to try this out and post the plans. However, I realized that I could mount the reflex bag to the ceiling instead. The ball-end should remain the same for either iteration, but I'll try both options and post the plans here. So far, for this project, I've used 3/4" PVC pipe (schedule 40), server rack hardware (M6x16 bolts and cage nuts).
