In our work, we exclusively use polygons featuring four sides and create models in 3ds Max 2012, saving them as compatible files for 3ds Max 2010. We apply standard V-Ray materials to the objects and texture them with 2048x2048 pixels .png files. Rendered previews are generated using Vray and exported in OBJ and FBX formats, without requiring any third-party plugins.
