sketchfab
The statue of St. John Nepomuk is situated in the village, outside the main residential area, in the center of a crossroads (direction to Ostry vrch). The statue is installed on a pedestal in a flat area planted with greenery, under an elm tree. The immediate surroundings of the square-shaped statue are enclosed by a secondary metal bar fence with opening front doors. It dates back to the 2nd half of the 18th century and falls into the category of external monumental sculpture production, whose significant development occurred during the time of stabilization in Hungary after its victory over the Turks and the Szatmár Peace Treaty in 1711. The statue was digitized as part of the Digital Monument Fund project by the digitalization and graphic documentation department of the Slovak National Heritage Board. Location: Soblahov, Slovak Republic, 48.863082, 18.0798684 (WGS84)
