I designed a soap dish pattern for laser-cutting using 3mm acrylic. The design emphasizes efficiency in manufacturing, minimizing material waste while maintaining elegance of function. To achieve a high-quality finish, I discovered that setting a tight tolerance on the slot width significantly improves the final product's quality. To accommodate this requirement, I adjusted the design to match the precise thickness of the acrylic, which can deviate by up to 5% from its nominal value. As a result, I created a customizable generator for others to use. The DXF file provided with this project is designed for 3mm-thick material.
