I had a problem with soap falling off the shelf in the shower because the soap holder was installed incorrectly. So, I built a simple tray to keep this from happening. My wife saw the tray and said she needed one for her bathroom sink. Well, I couldn't put my basic design in a place where people might see it (it looked a bit rough), so I wasted a day and built a more complex tray. The tray shown was printed at low resolution to test if it would work. My printer had a few minor issues while printing, but it functions for now. The bonus is that now anyone with a similar 3D printer can have a set of soap trays. The design is intended to hang over the outside edge of the sink to prevent the tray from falling into the drain. This does require using supports to print since the overhang is less than the tray. If you want, you could reduce the back leg and print without supports.
