I really liked masa4dc design of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:481978 and i wanted to use it as a soap dish. So I imported it into MeshMixer, enlarged the model an filled the bottom holes creating a small tray to catch any soap drippings, thus keeping the counter clean.

I printed with glow in the dark PLA.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

MakerBot

Printer:

MakerBot Replicator Mini

Rafts:

Yes

Supports:

Doesn't Matter

Resolution:

.2

Notes:

This print pushes the boundaries of the Replicator Mini, but the little workhorse handles the print with ease.

Instructions

With the added dished out side, this print has a wicked overhang. My solution was to just cut the top 2.2mm off and print separately. Then I used a gap filling medium Cyanoacrylate glue to join the parts together.

I provided both version of the model.

Category: Bathroom
