This cubesat employs Windform XT, a carbon fiber reinforced polyamide SLS material. It's optimized for additive manufacturing with a simple 4-part frame and 10 bolts, while 3D printed geometry houses all nuts. Designed holes accommodate electronics mounting, and 3D printed features minimize fasteners. Benefits include a base piece that accommodates various components and a reversible top insert for customization. The sheet metal frame insert has no welds for easy custom solutions.
